It’s a new month so you know what that means…a new reading list and new yummy drinks! If you want to know what was on November’s Reading List or if you were waiting for the reviews of last month’s reads that blog will be coming out shortly. Otherwise, before we get onto what I will be reading this month I thought I would share the book suggestions from you guys!
|Para||Rumi or Hafiz (Poets)||These are two suggested poets to look up! If you want to check out some of their work you can click on their names to follow the link. 🙂|
|Greg||“The Pillars of the Earth” by Ken Follett.||“This is Book 1 of a trilogy. The best story I’ve read in a very long time. Nominally it’s about a man’s desire to build the greatest cathedral the world has ever seen. But the story sheds light on life in England during that era. This first book begins in the 1100’s with the last installment ending a few hundred years later.” -Review left by Greg|

A big thank you Greg and Para for sharing your suggestions I truly appreciate hearing what you all enjoy! If you would like to share a suggestion as well- as always there will be a feed back form at the end of the blog where you can do that! Now-without further ado, let’s get reading!
This month I am hoping to tackle this trilogy this month! I bought these books this summer at a little book shop bordering Utah and Colorado. The way the books are laid out are nothing like I have ever seen before! The whole story is told through case files, reports, letters, and notes. There is so much creativity pouring out of the pages I can’t wait to read what they hold!.
Here is a quick summary from Amazon and if you are interested in getting them yourselves-I always recommend hitting up a local library or book shop but during Covid times-ordering online can be the best option so feel free to click on the link to get the Illuminae Files! 🙂
“This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded.
The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than a speck at the edge of the universe. Now with enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to evacuate with a hostile warship in hot pursuit.
But their problems are just getting started. A plague has broken out and is mutating with terrifying results; the fleet’s AI may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a web of data to find the truth, it’s clear the only person who can help her is the ex-boyfriend she swore she’d never speak to again.
Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, maps, files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more—Illuminae is the first book in a heart-stopping trilogy about lives interrupted, the price of truth, and the courage of everyday heroes.” -Amzon Review
